Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing pain, or striving to enhance your performance, we offer a nuanced approach to achieving your goals.

Benefits of Acupuncture and Dry Needling

EFFECTIVE PAIN MANAGEMENT

One of the most compelling reasons to consider acupuncture is its proven effectiveness in pain relief. By strategically inserting ultra-fine needles into specific points on the body, acupuncture presses the body’s reset button, releasing natural painkillers, known as endorphins.

When dry needling is applied to an affected muscle or trigger point, it can decrease muscle tightness, increase blood flow and reduce pain. You may feel immediate relief after treatment.

ACCELERATING RECOVERY TIME

Feel like you’re just getting back in the game only to be sidelined by soreness? Acupuncture can expedite the recovery process, allowing your body to bounce back after rigorous activity. This technique promotes increased blood flow, which delivers essential nutrients to sore muscles and reduces inflammation. As highlighted in a systematic review in Sports Medicine, athletes who integrate acupuncture into their recovery routines enjoy significantly shorter downtime. Get back to peak performance faster with this holistic healing approach.

HEAL THE MIND, ENHANCE PERFORMANCE

Athletic success isn’t solely about physical strength; mental fortitude plays an equally critical role. Regular acupuncture treatments can reduce stress and anxiety, creating a calm environment that fosters improved focus and performance. Research indicates that acupuncture lowers cortisol levels and promotes relaxation, equipping athletes with the mental clarity needed to excel. Rediscover your focus and elevate your performance by harnessing the benefits of this deeply relaxing therapy.

The Performance phase culminates on the day of an event or athletic performance, but it can also include up to two weeks leading up to the event.

PREVENT INJURY

The best offense is a great defense—especially when it comes to your health. By maintaining the body’s natural balance, acupuncture can preemptively address musculoskeletal issues that, if left unchecked, could lead to injury. Acupuncture increases flexibility and range of motion, crucial for minimizing the risk of strains and sprains. According to the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, acupuncture is an important tool in injury avoidance, helping you stay active and injury-free.

An athlete’s success is intricately tied to overall health. Acupuncture has been shown to boost immune function, helping your body fend off illness and injury. By stimulating the production of immune cells, acupuncture can strengthen your body’s defenses—ensuring you can train consistently and effectively.

A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO HEALTH

At its core, acupuncture embraces a holistic perspective on health, emphasizing the importance of balance between body, mind, and spirit. With regular treatments, you’ll not only address physical symptoms but also enhance your emotional and lifestyle well-being. Improved sleep patterns and better digestive health are just a couple of benefits that come from integrating this ancient technique into your routine. Elevate your holistic health with acupuncture and set the stage for long-term athletic success.

TESTIMONIALS

As a player I very commonly experienced an elevated heart rate and performance anxiety during the baseball season. As the season went on, I noticed these two traits started to take a large toll on me both physically and mentally.
Thankfully, acupuncture sessions were incredibly effective in aiding my pains. The nonstop support throughout my high school years and into my time playing for an ACC baseball team really helped me handle myself not only physically but mentally as well.
I strongly recommend acupuncture for any athlete that is struggling with performance anxiety and recovery!

I had my first dry needling session today and Bahar was absolutely incredible. She was very kind, personable, and made me feel very comfortable. She listened to me, asked questions for clarification, and took the time to really understand the issues I am dealing with.

Bahar is very educated in her field of practice which made me feel even more comfortable. During the needling session, she explained everything to me so I knew exactly what was going on and what she was doing/why. She made sure I was comfortable and that the needling and E-stim was comfortable for me. She was also able to figure out what was causing my lower back pain and able to determine what caused the tweak I had.

She took extra time during my session to needle my hamstring which has also been irritated. She provided me with some stretches to help the areas I am having issues with and recommended adding in extra work on specific muscle groups to help create balance across the board which will also help reduce the risk of this happening again. 12/10 recommend this service.
