A clear service. A purposeful place in your plan.

Exercise with oxygen combines active, coach-guided movement with supplemental oxygen during the session. Exercise selection and intensity are adjusted to the client’s current capacity, performance goals, and response; the service does not diagnose a pulmonary condition or determine whether someone medically needs oxygen.

Clients with COPD, asthma, emphysema, exercise-related oxygen desaturation, a concussion history, an existing oxygen prescription, or another medical condition must discuss participation with their healthcare provider and follow that provider’s instructions. Elite Wellness can coordinate within an established plan but does not claim that Oxygen Training treats or rehabilitates those diagnoses.

What is Exercise With Oxygen Training or EWOT?

It is a supervised fitness session that pairs active exercise with supplemental oxygen. Elite Wellness adjusts the exercise demand for the client but does not prescribe medical oxygen or use the service to diagnose a condition.

Is Oxygen Training the same as medical oxygen therapy or pulmonary rehabilitation?

No. Medical oxygen therapy is prescribed according to clinical findings such as measured hypoxemia, and pulmonary rehabilitation is a clinical program. Oxygen Training at Elite Wellness is a separately booked fitness service for an appropriate, medically cleared client.

Can Oxygen Training help COPD or another pulmonary condition?

Exercise can be part of an established pulmonary-care plan, but the need for supplemental oxygen and the appropriate exercise parameters must come from the treating healthcare team. Elite Wellness does not claim to treat COPD, asthma, emphysema, oxygen desaturation, or another pulmonary diagnosis.

What about exercise after a concussion?

Return-to-activity after a concussion should follow a healthcare-provider-directed, symptom-guided progression. Oxygen Training is not concussion treatment, and the oxygen component has not been established as a substitute for concussion rehabilitation. Begin only after the appropriate provider approves the activity.

Is Oxygen Training the same as VO2 max testing?

No. Oxygen Training is a coached exercise method. VO2 max testing is a separately booked assessment that measures cardiovascular capacity and training zones.
