What changes?

This doctoral study looks at how unilateral and bilateral resistance training affect lower-limb asymmetry, dynamic stability, and strength in adolescents.

The study is led by Mckenna Smet, Principal Investigator and Founder & Owner of Elite Wellness. All testing and training sessions take place at Elite Wellness Performance & Recovery in Ashburn, Virginia, with the Elite Wellness team supporting research operations.

This is an active study—not a page of completed findings. Public information will be updated as approved research milestones become available.

Baseline assessment
Complete one testing session and receive a report documenting your starting point.

Train with supervision
Complete a 12-week resistance-training program at Elite Wellness, with two individual sessions each week.

Follow a measured plan
Sessions last approximately 35–45 minutes, with at least 48 hours between sessions. Scheduling is flexible.

See what changed
Complete one post-intervention testing session and receive a follow-up report.

The doctoral study is currently underway at Elite Wellness Performance & Recovery. Participant enrollment is closed, and we are not accepting new applications at this time.

The team is carrying the study through its approved training and research process now. Findings will be shared as analysis and approved reporting milestones become available, with the goal of informing evidence-based practice at Elite Wellness and beyond.

This study is approved by the Institutional Review Board at Concordia University Chicago. IRB Study #2440555-1.
